Robert B. Laughlin, KAIST President, and His Assistant Published Books at the Same Time.
President Laughlin's Book Title is A Different Universe (Kachi).
He explains why we have to change our ideas about physical law, and why the mystery of Universe is to be found not in the cosmos but all around us. He also gave his autograph to all the reporters one by one at a party held at the 1-year anniversary of his inauguration.
His assistant Hyung-Kyung Lee (Harrison Lee) published a conversational English book at the same time. This book explains how to mingle and lead a conversation as a non-native speaker. The title is How to Talk to Native Speakers Naturally (Youngjin Live).
This book is based on episodes in US and his current experiences with a foreign President who is also a Nobel laureate. Also it explains how to start a conversation, how to take the initiative with little English skill and cultural differences and so forth with situation scenes in English.
Mr. Lee was appointed as the President's assistant last July.
